About The Band

Created in 2017, Flashback to Chicago is a tribute to one of the most celebrated musical acts in history, Chicago. Throughout their 50 year career, Chicago has produced 36 albums, sold over 100 million records and released 20 Top 10 Pop and 22 Top 10 Adult Contemporary singles. Proving the test of time, Chicago has placed hits on the Billboard Chart in five different decades. 17 of the band’s first 20 albums were certified platinum, nine of those multiplatinum with Chicago 17 reaching platinum status six times.

Chicago has successfully navigated the music industry, developing a fan base that follows them across genres. When they first started out in the late 1960’s, they were not given much hope of success due to their incorporation of horns and jazz melodies. They did not fit the mold of any specific musical category, but their determination to stay true to their sound soon paid off with three Top 10 singles within their first year.

Chicago’s lifetime achievements include two Grammy Awards, are Founding Artists of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, multiple American Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. In 2017 it was announced that Robert Lamm and James Pankow were to be inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Chicago’s ability to stay relevant throughout the years is evident. They continue to tour, drawing huge crowds of all ages throughout the world. They continue to inspire musicians, professional and amateur alike, through their unique sound and unwavering commitment to keep the music going.
